Home Care Package in Australia
The Australian Government’s Home Care Package (HCP) program is designed to support older Australians, aged 65+, in living independently at home for as long as possible. It provides subsidised funding based on the level of care needed, ensuring individuals can access the appropriate services to maintain their quality of life.
Home Care Package Levels:
Level 1: Basic Care Needs – ideal for those who require minimal assistance.
Level 2: Low-Level Care Needs – suitable for individuals needing regular help with daily tasks.
Level 3: Intermediate Care Needs – tailored for those requiring more complex support services.
Level 4: High-Level Care Needs – for individuals with significant and ongoing care needs.
To qualify, an assessment by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) is required. Once approved, funding from the government is allocated to cover services such as personal care, meal preparation, transport, and health-related support.

Means Testing
If you’re not a full Pensioner, you may be required to pay an Income-Tested Care Fee (ITCF) as part of your Home Care Package. This fee is assessed by the Department of Human Services (Centrelink) based on your income and is reviewed quarterly. Providers are unable to waive or discount this fee.

Common Service Charge
Clients have the option to choose from our trusted service providers or select their own, provided they meet qualification requirements. We do not impose additional charges for this flexibility.
